Når du folder denne origami diamant, er det 'vigtigt' at gøre det med tykt papir. Det må gerne være lidt alla fotopapirets tykkelse/kvalitet. Almindeligt A4-papir er fine til de små diamanter.
Hvis du ligesom os er perfektionister og gør meget ud af de ting du beskæftiger dig med, er det her en sjov udfordring. Vi har brugt flere forsøg på at gøre lige netop denne diamant helt perfekt, den er lidt svær og krævede for vores side af megen koncentration for at få den foldet og skåret lige og præcist. Der skal nemlig foldes to identiske halvdele, som hurtigt afslører hvis du har haft et ukoncentreret øjeblik når du i sidste ende limer dem sammen ;-)

Du skal bruge:
- 2 x kraftigt papir
- saks
- stærk lim
- 2 x quality paper
- scissor
- strong glue
1. Har du et A4-ark, skal du gøre det kvadratisk. Her ses den letteste metode.
If you have a A4 sized paper this is the easiest way to make it square.
2. Lav et fold fra hjørne til hjørne. Her er det vigtigt at begge fold, fra hjørne til hjørne, er lavet med samme flade , af arket, opad. (tip: når du folder et stykke papir på denne måde, vil papiret danne en pyramide form. Her vender spidsen/toppen af pyramiden nedad)
Fold the paper from corner to corner. It's very important that your folds are made on the same side off your paper. (tip: when you fold it like this, the paper take form as a pyramid and the top of the pyramid is downwards.)
3. Vend arket så 'pyramiden's spids' nu pejer opad.
Turn the 'pyramid' upside down so it actually looks like a pyramid.
4. Lav igen 2 fold - denne gang bare fra sidelængde til sidelængde.
Fold it again - only this time from page length to page length.
5a. Nu skal du tage fat i to modstående hjørner, og trække ind som serien ovenfor viser, så der dannes et mindre kvadrat. Du har vendt papiret rigtigt, når den nærmest folder sig selv.
Now take the two corners as you see on the first picture above and pull them toward the center so you end up with a smaller square. You are doing it right when it practically 'fold it self'.
5b. Fold de to flapper ind mod midten (billede 1 og 2). Vendt papiret om og fold de to næste ind, så du ender med billede 3.
Fold it towards the center again like picture 1 and 2 above start from your left. Flip the paper and continue same procedure so you end up with picture 3.

6. Klip toppen af. Cut off the top. |
7a. Fold flappen ud (her er det den venstre flab) og fold den ind så den ene flab bliver til to.
Fold the triangles out as on the picture to your left and thereafter fold it inwards so it becomes two triangles.
7b. Her ses hvordan den bliver foldet ind. Gør dette med alle fire flapper.
This is how it gets folded inwards. Do this with all four 'triangles'.
 8. Efter du har foldet alle flapperne på ovenstående vis, skal det se således ud oppe fra. Fold den herefter tilbage.
If it looks like this when you slightly let go of it you are doing it right! Now fold it back.

9. Nu skal der igen foldes ind mod midten.
Again you need to fold miniature triangle towards the center.
10. Dette gøres med alle 8 flapper. Herefter skal de foldes ud igen.
Do this with all 8 'triangles' and fold them out again afterwards.
11. Her ses hvordan det ser ud når alle flapperne er foldet ud - tv. Billedet th. ses hvordan du nu skal folde flapperne indad, efter de folder vi har dannet ved tidligere fold.
On the picture to your left you see how it looks like when all the triangles are unfolded. On the picture to your right you see how to fold the tiny triangles inwards.
12. Når alle er foldet ind.

13. Der skal to identiske til at lave én diamant.
You need two identical figures to make one diamond.
14. De to dele limes sammen med en stærk lim, eks. kontakt lim. Der skal nørkles lidt, for at få diamanten til at lukke pænt sammen hele vejen rundt.
The two parts is glued together with a strong glue. It can be a pretty difficult to close the diamond nicely. Try a few times without the glue to get an idea of how to do it.
